Forgot to book Schoolies? Is it too expensive or do you think it’s just for retards?

I’m thinking of hosting a LAN party primarily for school leavers. I reckon it’d be in the range of 50-70 people, I know about 15 who said they would come already.
When: after the HSC, Somewhere around the 20th-30th of November.
Where: Sydney, depends on the amount of people coming.
Why: to let off steam and get to know others.
I’d like the first night to be an all-nighter, no sleep, and then a few days of tournaments after that.
Price would include security, hall hire, network and would depend on the amount of people and wether or not you’d want to go buy food. I’m guessing $15 without food. If I can be bothered, I’ll make merchandise(thinking shirts).
The amount of people who reply to this post will affect whether or not I set it up as a business or do it just as a party. So please reply with haste and spread the word. Reply if you have ideas/suggestions/information as well. Suggestions can include suggestions for its name or volunteering to work!

PS. Games played will depend on what people have/want. Suggest contact methods below too (recently formatted my HD, must install programs).

Maybe you should research the cost of what it would cost first.

Because honestly, to get the gear, cabling, hall hire, security etc for several days would cost a fair frigging bit. Way more than the $1000 your thinking of charging for 60+ people.

Games depend on what people have.... so you don't plan on having any dedicated servers at all or you're gonna sit there for a few hours installing games on a server after people get there & tell you what they have? I think a safe bet would be cs:s and cod4, maybe some UT

I didn't have accomodation for schoolies, i just paid $20 to catch the train, rocked in on other people's parties and crashed at my friends hotels instead.
