Need for Speed SHIFT touched down on shelves everywhere today and in case the media so far hadn't yet swayed you to go and pick this one up, EA have released a couple more trailers for the game offering an overview of another two of the game's tracks. First up is Donington Park, the English venue that also plays host to the annual Download Festival music event. Then we've got the mighty Nürburgring Nordschleife, the 20 kilometre German circuit that has become an iconic staple of simulation racing games. Need for Speed SHIFT is now available on PC, XBox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. |

hmm, been playing it a couple of hours
first suggestion: if your playing on keyboard, change your steering sensitivity to about 20% and your brake/accel sensitivity to about 30%. makes the game infinitly more controllable. no lan play which is a major suck. I read a rumour that it would be added in a patch but who knows if its true or not. imo its still an arcade game with a few touches of realism / simulation.. but very forgiving compared to any true racing sim. |

I prefer it, however the lack of lan is dissapointing. Good times have been had with grid + lan. |

Have yet to play this... but to me it looks very similar to GRID... is it a good fun balance between sim and arcade? GRID is really a decent balance between the two, swaying towards arcade but with nice physics and fun racing which is not too arcade to be boring. |

very similar to GRID.. its sorta in between sim and arcade, leaning towards the arcade. The racing is pretty fun.. The AI on hard is somewhat challenging.. im still exploring the tunability of the cars, but have noticed some differences by modifying suspension settings.
