EA have announced the next title in their successful skateboarding franchise, the creatively titled Skate 3.

Due on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in May 2010, Skate 3's chief new feature are new cooperative-focused team challenges.
SKATE 3 features an all-new co-op mode where teammates can complete challenges together while advancing each other’s careers. From rewarding epic bails and fails with a beefed up Hall of Meat mode to honing your craft with the all-new skate.School, players of all skill levels have multiple ways to “kill it” in the game. The franchise also continues to raise the bar for user created content with the skate.Create feature suite, an innovative toolset that empowers gamers to truly express their skate style by creating their own graphics, videos, and skate parks.

Check out the debut trailer right here on AusGamers.

now that is kinda cool. I haven't played a lot of skating games in years gone by so I'm a bit out of the loop here.

is skatepark creation a new thing in this type of game?

cool, i hope its a totally different setting from the first 2. Also they need a better website.

@ koopz, in skate 2 you could move objects around that you found within the world and save their position and upload it so other people can try and beat your score. Hopefully you get to create a skatepark in a designated area and not just move random objects you find.

I would prefer it if they worked on more tricks than multiplayer - I only have one friend who also plays this, and he only plays it when he comes over to my place.

They did show a darkslide and underflip (or whatever they're called), but would be awesome to see some flat land!

Skate park creator sounds pretty awesome.
