Didn't watch it all, looks too good to waste on a trailer!

Anyone read the graphic novel it is based on?

(PS, f*** yeh)

The Expendables is an action film directed by Stallone, got an interesting cast.

Trailer was cool. Looks like it's going to be a decent action flick (what else would you expect with Bruce).

Saw this today with great expectations, but it was bland, one-dimensional and short.

Rosamund Pike was super-hot though.

Not his best work.
I think my expectations were also too high and sadly it didn't live up to them

Over all wasn't a terrible movie though, better then a lot of other stuff that has come out recently.

I enjoyed it personally. Reminded me a lot of The Island in terms of plot:

1. Company invents breakthrough technology product.

2. Product revolutionises society and utopia appears have been achieved.

3. Things go horribly wrong.

4. An individual becomes thrown into a thrilling plot that involves discovering the company as a doer of evil.

5. Profit.

Bump. Saw this last night.

Verdict was that it was pretty average. It's short - 88 minutes - and everything felt really under-developed. The overall plot was vaguely interesting, but it felt to me a lot like a "port" from a graphic novel that didn't really capture the depth that (I assume) was in the actual written version.

Overall, definitely one you can pass on. Even though it has Bruce :( Watch 5th Element again instead. Or Die Hard. Or Armageddon. Etc.

I saw this a while ago.
At no time did I find myself drifting away from the movie and going "Oh hurry up", so based on that definitely watchable and entertaining. I go to the movies to turn off.

It was OK, not great. I just saw Moon tonight and much preferred it.

What Trog said pretty much summed up what I thought. The idea was good, but it didn't seem fleshed out anywhere near enough and it could've been alot better.

proper movie length is 2 hrs. anything shorter isnt worth the $5.

Yeah, probably not the greatest movie... but he was certainly solid for Bruce.

no, lots of moofies go for two hours

pretty much all of them would benefit from better editting, trimming off all the excess s*** that seems to be the norm for moofies these days;

i don't mind short movies, but this one just felt rushed and incomplete, rather than just concisely telling a story

So, this is s*** primarily because it is shallow and spent no time developing its characters

basterds is s*** because it spent time developing its characters

Watched it last night and didn't mind it. Best thing about the film was Radha Mitchell. My god she's gorgeous!
