The thing with streams jmr is you have no control over the server so I'm pretty sure it's always going to be in real time. The only way to do it faster would be to get your mits on the original file that the server is streaming. It'd be like trying to record a TV show faster than the station can broadcast it.

In Vista you can just add a 'Stereo mix' item to your recording devices. It's a hidden item. Google "record what you hear in Vista XP" Also, jDownloader might be worth a shot. It works for YouTube and stuff - if you copy a link to a YouTube vid it automatically gives you the option to save it to your HDD as MP4. |

Yeah interesting. I read a few sites that allege the RIAA has something to do with it, but it seems to be a hardware supplier issue. Yeah, piracy is one use of the 'Stereo mix', but there are a billion legit uses for it as well. Would be stupid to disable it. Also, seems to be limited only to certain hardware. What soundcard you have and do you have latest drivers? I saw a few posts that said they couldn't get stereo mix until they upgraded drivers. A lot of audio drivers for Win 7 seem to still be in Beta. |
