Yeh for simple .com addresses godaddy is easy and cheap. Last time I checked they don't do .com.au because of the ABN stuff.

If I need to do a .com.au I use enetica, but that's just because I've used them before and it works, there is probably cheaper.

yeh i got a few certificates from there... look around for promotion codes you can get like 30%

not so important .com.au I get from CrazyDomains
important .com.au I get from Melbourne IT
all .com from Aplus.net

i register where ever its cheapest and then transfer them all into my "Console" account with netregistry - who rock hard

crazy domains for .com.au. does most things.

Haven't had problems with godaddy for .com over the years, price is good so never bothered looking around for alternatives

I went through Dreamhost.

And I scored www.nickbedford.com ^_^

i register my domains through Jumba. Quite regularly the have deals where the domains are cost price. Normally their domain are a good price anyways.

I use smartyhost.
Each site you register you get 5% value attributed to a credit, which after u register many sites you occasionly get a free site which is nice.
Also you get %10 off domain purchases; so an au domain normally which is usually $20 a year, get it for $18 incase thats too hard maths for the bots!

It only cost me 10 bucks to get my domain. And I just hooked up with my band's hosting.
