Further extending the gameplay life of the gorgeous Killzone 2, and solidifying it as the cornerstone multiplayer experience on PS3, Sony have released the newest map pack for the game Flash and Thunder, which will feature two of the most popular multiplayer maps taken directly from the first game on PlayStation 2.

On Beach Head, the ISA must defend their stronghold from the Helghast on the sandy Vektan beaches. As torrential rain and gales batter the landscape, the limited cover of this small map makes for frantic close-quarters combat with prime sniping opportunities.

Southern Hills centres around a Helghan base atop a hill, with a combination of built-up areas and open corridors making it ideal for 24 to 32 player matches. But beware: you don't want to be out in the open when the alarm sounds...

The Flash and Thunder map pack is available right now for download from the PlayStation Store for PS3.
