If there's 1kg/inch² left in the tank (for example) then there's over 5.6kg/inch² pushing on the tank. If the tank is roughly 10x1.5x1.5m (guesstimate), then there's 99,975 square inches of surface area. Multiplied by 5.6 and thats 560 tons of pressure crushing the entire tank.

It's sort of a need video, but utterly uninteresting without context

Yeah it seems to be some sort of destructive test. The German commentator says 'Seven hundred and sixty' [seconds until failure? some pressure measurement at failure?]

Then he says something like, "Gewonnen haben wir Kopte endlich..." - but it's becoming to too quiet to understand. "Kopte" doesn't make any sense because that's 'Coptic' in English (Christian denomination in Egypt). The other bit makes sense though, something like "We have the Kopte finally won" - more like, "The Kopte has finally won" in English.

I couldn't find any orthographically similar Deutsch word to "Kopte". However, he could say "Koppe" which is literally a 'bullhead' of an animal, but could refer to 'bullheading', which could make sense.

Either way, not enough context. Still interesting though.

something that large doesn't implode on purpose, they were definitely creating a vacuum inside it

my dad showed me this same experiment with a milo tin

heat it up over a flame with some water inside, then put the lid on and cool it quickly

Yeah I had a chemistry teacher in high school who used to do the same thing. He'd heat a 44 gallon drum with a bit of water in it until steam was coming out, seal it, then dunk it in icy water.
