You might've heard about this before? Some crazy Japanese decided that in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Gundam, they'd build an 18m (59 foot) tall life-sized replicate of a Gundam. After having it's crotch out on display for a little while, they've finally finished building the thing.

And it's Awesome.

Higher-res pictures here. I'm not the biggest Gundam fan (actually, I've never been able to get into it at all), but giant life-sized Robotic Mecha are always kickass, full stop.

Looks suspiciously like something out of Transformers.

Face looks too way lit up at night. They should of just put the lights behind it's eyes like they do in the model kits. Would be awesome to see some bright glowing eyes in that thing. All the other lights should just be spot lights on the ground shining onto it. Now if they'll just build a full scale Astray, that would be kick ass
