Getting a "no signal" error, as are other people in the building.
gf is on the phone with them, and it sounds like it's not just our building. anyone else having the same problem? (we're on cable, not satellite) |

OH NOES!!! YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SOCIALISE WITH YOUR GIRLFRIEND We just got back from 2 weeks in Japan and wanted to watch some Daily Show, Colbert, etc. Can't even watch stuff we've recorded when there's no signal. :/ |

tried a couple of reboots and still no luck
think there's something going on in the building - we had some friends drop by before and the building manager had to let them up in the lift, cos our remote buttons for the door and lift aren't working |

I like it for Daily Show, Colbert Report, Bill Maher, and Conan, plus Dexter and True Blood (when there's new series on) sports like NFL, baseball, NASCAR, or AFL, and docos like Air Crash Investigation. Can also often find at least a half decent movie playing if I feel so inclined.
Actually, I could see that Foxtel would be a tad on the lame side without the IQ, cos I more often than not record stuff and watch it when I'm ready. I have had times where I haven't had anything pre-recorded to watch, and couldn't find anything to watch on any of the channels. But that's ok - if there was always something good to watch on then I'd never leave the couch. |

Now all u get is re-runs of the same s*** and ads every 5-10 minutes... i thought the entire idea of PAY tv, is that u PAY so u get tv with no ads.. i mean there is no f***in way that they dont make enough money and need to have an ad for jamster on every 10minutes. |

yeah, it used to be way better.
i've got it too cerb :D without IQ foxtel wouldn't be worth the money imo. even with IQ it's not great. after you've had it for 4-5+ years you start to realise that foxtel almost never buys new material/shows, they just shuffle them from channel to channel claiming "CHANNEL X PREMIERE!!!", when it's already been on FTA and 2 other foxtel channels. but here i am, still paying for it like a sucker :( talk shows (colbert, etc), sport and the doco channels are the only things i really watch on there - anything else gets the channel BT treatment. last edited by taggs at 17:45:36 19/May/09 |

i get my moneys worth from foxtel on sport alone:
edit: should have added, we move into bonus territory for how much food channel petal watches on the weekends, and how much i benefit from that for the awesome foods i get cooked; last edited by Spook at 17:59:42 19/May/09 |

I like Foxtel now. IQ2 HD is pretty decent. You just need to find things you'll want to watch and set to record then you always have something to watch.

Mmm, I donno. $10 more a month or something? www.foxtel.tv will probably know. Have to pay extra for the HD chans too IIRC. I'm not sure where my bill is.

TEN’s new sports channel ONE will become available to all Foxtel cable subscribers from July 1st.
While the channel is already available to top-tier HD cable-based susbcribers now the SD channel will be added. http://www.tvtonight.com.au/ |

soon free to air tv will be better than foxtel
ie free to air tv just keeps getting better, One HD, ABC2, the new channels that are coming whilst foxtel keeps getting worse, more ads, more repeats, less good shows. |

soon free to air tv will be better than foxtel hahaha that must have been a joke. Free to air is only worth watching for 6 hrs a day. Nothing to watch after Midnight and a real wasteland in the mornings. I LOVE MY FOXTEL with Foxtel and Cable Internet who needs girls ! |

no i'm pretty sure the pedo stuff kicks in if your dealing with people under 18 even if they are over 16 unless you're a similarish age |
