i wanted to know any cheap places in austrailia, in melbourne to buy a Dell XPS m1730 laptop cheap. they are 3,600 dolars on their website but its a bit too much. im looking for a price around 2,500-2,900 dollars. wont buy of ebay or trading post. so yer anywere in melbourne that sells them cheap please tell.

Don't think you'd find them much cheaper, afaik Dell don't sell through any retailers and even if they did I suspect there'd be little to no difference in their margins.

you wont get it that cheap but what i find is the best thing to do is find freind or someone who buys alot of dell products they normally can get the best prices..

As trog said....most places don't do Dell other than Dell.
I tried to get one via my insurance provider (as a replacement) and it was actually $600 cheaper for me to get the money and buy it myself on the website....and I ended up going on a day that had 10% off so i was able to upgrade all the features as well.

I still spent 3600 on mine...but i salary sacrificed which got it down 30% and I got like 2k from insurance company, so it only cost me like 400-500 bucks in the end.

With NRMA? They do a 5% discount if you are with them....www.dell.com.au\nrma (I THINK). Otherwise ill send you the code when i get home.

if you know someone in the US you could get them to ship it to you, it seems to retail for usd 1199

Wonder if you could get their international warranty with that though and how much cheaper it'd turn out to be in the long run.
