Hey guys,

Trying to plan a road/fishing trip. Nothing too far away just around a 4 hour drive from Brisbane. Main reason is to get a good fishing zone and spend a night there.

We were thinking Bundaberg... Any suggestions or known places?

you bastards are spoilt for choice if you have a 4x4 - can't wait till i move back to brissie at the end of the year

anyway if you have a 4x4 or access to one you've got straddie, bribie, moreton or fraser
(staddie can be done w/o a 4x4)

if not i'd be heading to sommerset dam or lake moogerah personally

4x4 is available. Also have a boat.
Thanks for the suggestions.

Fishing most places around straddie is f***ed but that doesn't stop me trying.
Also Moogerah is crap and I wasted like $40 on membership for fishing there.
You gotta go further north if you actually want to catch something.

fraser is about 3-4 hours, its the furthest of any i've suggested
tincan bay and inskip are all just at the south end of fraser

you would obviously have to factor in a bit of extra cost to visit fraser its self, just because of the barge and beach permit required

but i'd highly recommend going there, especially this time of year - it really is beautiful

inskip point next to barge with boat would'nt be to bad choice this time of year
