So, does anyone here watch this show?

I only started watching it yesterday and after sitting thru the first 8 eps I think I'm hooked. Also noticed season 6 is airing in the US at the moment so I was wondering does it stay interesting all the way up till the current season?

After watching The OC this seems to have the same feel to it as well which is good.

Yeah, I'm a fan. Have enjoyed pretty much all seasons so far, of course some more than others. Some people stopped watching after season 4 due to a time gap, but it's just as good on the other side imo.

i used to watch it when it was on tv here. wasnt there like a 3 year time jump between seasons?

I was hooked at one stage, then stopped... Now I have no idea what episode to continue on from so I just haven't continued....

is it good like oc season 1, or good like oc season 2 & 3 aka s***.

It is terrible. I watched it because we have the dvds lying around somewhere. It was kinda like the OC first season but just not as good. Just like the OC it goes downhill but faster.

In the later seasons they start doing bizarre daytime soap plots. Thats when I was like DONE!

I can't believe Lucas broke up with Brook so he could be with Peyton. Brook is a million times better. It was like in The OC when Seth picked Anna over Summer. Anna was cool but Summer was heaps better. Lucas and Brook better end up back together again.

My Mrs watches it. Even when something that should be super exciting happens, for example, busting in to a kidnappers house, rescuing the kidnapped girl and shooting the kidnapper dead when he tries to go you, even when that happens, the show still feels that every single scene is wrapping up the episode.. just two people standing around mumbling at most five words reflecting on something that happened, with huge long pauses of nothing before the next scene where the same s*** happens but with two different people

whenever i walk in on her watching i never think to ask if this s***'s nearly over, because every scene makes you think it's like the episode wrapping up.

It can't possibly be that all scenes are like that because that chick rescued a kidnapped girl and shot dead a kidnapper but even that scene felt like people were standing around reflecting on their past together and the episode was about to end.. it didn't.. it went on reflecting and reflecting.

If you want to watch a good show with exceptional acting and with teen-life plots ala OC, 90210, dawson creek, but very very good and not all prissy keep-ya-virginity-for-marriage BS.. i'm going to feel bad for framing it like that, but anyway, watch Friday Night Lights.

It's teen-life drama for adults set in Football... with added awesome.

it might not get as high ratings as shows on other networks, but its CW's second highest rating show.

Looks like Rev is finally out of the closet...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I think OC modelled itself on OTH - the shows OK, you will grow to hate it very shortly though once the little f***wit kid comes along, everyone calls each other by their full name CONSTANTLY and then you'll get bombarded by "inconspicuous" advertising.

Unfortunately I hate it so much that I have to watch it just to see how bad it continually gets. The womans got me hooked on it after she started watching it :(

Brooke is way better than Peyton, who is just a whiney bitch. Yes there is a 4yr jump after season 4 when they all go to college and then come back etc.

Almost finished season 2. So far I reckon Dan Scott is the best character in the show. Not only is he hilarious but he's such a mean and nasty motherf***er. I hope he's still around in season 6. Better yet, they should just have him in every scene f***ing someone over.

What grade are these guys in during the first season? I was told 10, but that can't be right if Hayley and Nathan got married.

"Junior year" whatever that mean - I think it relates to grade 10 or 11? Why would being overly young stop them from being married? Don't you only have to be 16 or some crap like that?

Not sure what the age is but I think being 15 years old is prolly a bit young to be getting married. That is if that's what age they are in the show.

Well, it seems like an eternity ago I made this thread and holy s*** how time flys. Almost finished season 6 and it's nice to see that the show is still just as good as when it started.

The main issue I have is with Dan. He was such an awesome character but after the whole thing with Keith dying, Dan is hardly in it. And it's gonna take some miracle for him to be able to hang around more than he is now. It sucks what they did to him. Also Rachael just disappeared as well which sucks.

And another thing. What the hell is Mouth's problem? He has this good thing going with Millicent and he f***s it. They both f***ed up but he acted like a little bitch and told her to get lost. I hope his character turns gay.

One last bit. How hot is Sophia Bush?? f*** her voice is f***ing awesome. I love that husky sound. American and Canadian chicks have the best accents ever!

AFAIK the US system is freshman- sophmore - junior - senior. They graduate at 18, making a junior 16-17.

Hmm. Just read a rumor that the Lucas and Peyton characters won't be returning for season 7. How can the show continue if it loses two main cast members?

Either the show is gonna flop like The OC did when Mischa left or they bring back Dan Scott again as a regular and he'll save the show with his great one-liners.

Also, what do you reckon will happen if Peyton dies during labour and some fluke that Lucas dies from his heart condition. Who do you think would get the baby? I'd want Brooke to have it although there's a good chance Karen might. But there's always Haley and Nathan.

I don't mind Jamie. Usually I really hate kids in tv shows and movies but this kid isn't getting on my nerves at all. When I saw him I was like, f*** this. But I was wrong.
