Topic: I have a question about Assassins Creed

Is there any way to load a game of Assassins Creed without having to listen to the long ass lecture from the head of the assassins guild each time?

Anyone who has tried to load a saved game before knows what I'm talking about here

I can't find any way around it, and forcing people to sit through a f***ing 5 minute chat sequence before they can go out to play has got the be the most totally f***ing retarded s*** in the history of gaming.

Just sayin'

Seriously is there a "Skip This s***" option I'm missing?

Nope, you just have to put up with it. It's annoying as f***.

The whole interface to the game was as annoying as f***. Especially the lack of a proper ending.

And when you want to stop playing you have to go through about 10 quit menus.

What a terrible repetitive game that was.

This game would have been awesome if it had co-op/multiplayer. Just imagine the possibilities!

Co-op? So you'd enjoy walking around slowly during a cutscene, but with a friend? There were so many annoying things in that game that seemed to be there just because the developers thought the story was clever.

more like 2 assassins working together to take out one target, one distracts while the other goes for the kill. There are s*** bits in the game but I'm sure people would have glossed over them if it had CO-OP.

Do not argue this point.

I just couldn't bring myself to finish the entire game.

I love the game's concept, style, graphics but it just got too damn repetitive.

Had great potential but it's a shame really.

I finished it, but I wanted to go back and play some more cos once you beat it there are no more penalties for stabbing people that dont need to be stabbed or whatever

Yeah totally, was pretty annoyed with that also.

Yeah the game was repetitive, I think my mouse sucked too, I was always a spit second off doing a combo thing, for the final two guys I ended up having to run around in circles to get health back cus the combos didn't work properly! (Coordination--)

I have played this game once and some old lady walked up to me begging for money and I killed her and then just casually walked away without anyone noticing.

non-skippable animations/cutscenes/intro sequences has been one of my pet hates since the dawn of gaming. holy f*** its annoying. For me it reached a crescendo in Metal Gear Solid with some of those goddamn non-skippable cutscenes it would play before big battles - you know, the sort you had a saved game before and had to die over and over again before you could complete them

how can developers in this day and age still get such simple things wrong?

individual parts of the game were really good... ie: combat + free running... but everything felt too "structured"... it felt like each bit was given to a different designer who did a pretty good job on his/her section but they didnt meld together properly and each part was repeated over and over... having said that ...i still had a lot of fun with the game... im looking forward to the next one ...ninjas!

if you grab them and shove them into a wall or a stack of crates they start crying and leave you alone

Do it to like 25 of them and you get a reward

Yeah but they are ALWAYS in a really bad place, ie where your trying to be stealthy.
So I'd kill...run away...and come back and plan my assult.

i think i made it through about 4 assassinations before the game turned boring as f***, been able to take on like 15 enemies with a dagger is retarded.

Yeah that's only for the first 1/4-1/2 of the game...the last 1/2 is much more challenging, it's difficult to take on more than 3, especially due to the precison timing of the combos. Half the assasinations I just used the knives and then used a sword/sheath weapon on the last guy - because getting found out was just a headache of running around (and into blockades of soldiers)

haha srs?

must be a lot harder to play on PC

on Xbox I have no trouble just standing around in the town square scrapping with like 8 - 10 guards at once.

Were we playing the same game? Didn't matter how many there were, as they attacked you one at a time, so you just throw that guy to the ground, then use the hidden blade... do that 10 times and they are all dead. I think there is even an instant kill counter using the hidden blade.

^ Theres instant kill counters and s***....but my timing was all sorts of screwed up (I blame it on my ping....;))

Or maybe my mouse was having a clash trying to press 2-3 buttons at the same time.

Also throwing them to the ground NEVER worked for me every time youd throw them, the targeting systems would unlock them and lock onto someone else, by the time I cycled through to the person on the ground he was up, or someone was in front of him.

Seriously the targeting system was f***ed :(

Yeah i agree with that i kept throwing guys down until i locked onto the downed one, then isnta killed him, i know it was cheesy but i was pretty bored of the combat and didnt want to put much effort into it by that stage.

I'd have to agree.. the swordfights got old after the first 10 or so, even with the skill upgrades.

hidden knife is where it's at.
