I play on s2.travian.com.au (might be a bit late to join in on this game though - as there are already some wars going on, and noobs get smashed)
It's a game where you control a village and have alliances and fight/farm other villages. I don't play WoW or any of those games, but I imagine this is like a poor man's WoW. Although with a small bit of cash you can buy some bonus' and stuff. New server starting tomorrow at s6.travian.com - you pretty much have to start in the first few weeks of this game or else you will be left behind. Game goes for about 13 months and is incredibly f***ing slow in the first few weeks, and apparently rather unmanagable towards the end. No complex graphics showing what's going on, mostly just text info that updates with ajax, still fun though, some pretty epic moments, though most of it is just sitting around waiting for resources. |

Yeah it's kind of interesting, but as one article I read pointed out, it becomes unplayable for a lot of people. The game seems to actually punish you for going to work and going to sleep, etc... from time to time you might get attacked during the time you're out - but if you establish yourself well in your territory - the more serious attacks will take several hours to arrive, so you have a chance to move a few things around in preparation, or summon your alliance for help.

Fireblood - yeah.
The end game content involves a team of computer/admin controlled villages that if you defeat hold the plans to building a special building - first to complete it wins. last edited by thermite at 16:34:46 27/Nov/08 |

You use Greasemonkey scripts to play it therm? I always see them on userscripts.org and think that Travian is one game I will never play. |

Most of these scripts are apparently detectable. Half the villages around me are banned, so I wouldn't try to cheat.
