I noticed Zest (zest.co.th) has cracked down on international orders for EA Games. I tried to buy a serial for Mercenaries from there. I ended up getting my Thai mate to bring back a serial, thus thwarting the evil games publisher. I have never understood sales zoning - including DVD zoning. Doesn't it defeat the purpose of globalisation? |

IMO this promotes piracy. People who want to buy the game, to me, don't want a watered down and edited version of what the original was. They have 2 choices here...
1.) Give us an R18+ rating for games like GTA and silent hill; which idk what they are talking about. nothing in the game so far is anything close to bad like GTA san andreas 2.) They aren't allowed to complain about piracy when people download the games a bunch of 40 and 50 year olds say we can't play because of a few stupidly retarded things like blood or sound effects last edited by DM at 13:49:38 27/Nov/08 |

FEAR was fairly average once you got over that gun that could pin people to the wall and roof that was hilarious.
It seemed the whole game was based in some massive office space. |

It was quite challenging on the hardest difficulty setting. First real use of halfway decent AI for enemies.

wasn't there a game receintly that got RC because of something incredibly minor like a sound effect of a guy screaming when you cut his leg off with a certain weapon? They thought it was too real or some BS?

I love how the attorney general thinks games "immerse" people into violence more than other types of media without ANY TYPE OF STUDIES quoted or any psychological reports.
My sis's a 3rd year psyc student and she showed me a study of how violence in video games does not condition humans to real-life violence whatsoever. |

well come on. look at gears of war 2! it was full of violence.. and dead space. some of the death sequences in dead space are awesome, watching a monster rip your limbs off one by one to finish by removing your head, all the while blood going everywhere. i'm surprised dead space made the rating |

I imagine Gears of War and Dead Space make it because they're in a fantasyfuturespace sort of setting whereas Fear was trying to be more realistic?
