being a muppet, i did a quick format on a vista ntfs drive without properly coping stuff off it. Mostly photos.

R-studio sees em all, but when i recover, im getting a 30% sucess rate. The jpgs are saying corrupt. What software next to try?

ah yes, after r-studio fails (like your spelling) you use a real recovery program, like GetDataBack for NTFS.

Had a dumb techo reimage a drive full of very important docs, unbeknowns to techo it was a pseudo file server. Took like 18 FRIGGING HOURS, but 100% success.

Vote +1 for get data back, in fact I am running on a customers drive as I type this. I wonder what their raid recovery stuff is like, anyone used it

nah, haven't had to use the raid recovery side of GetDataBack, but i'm sure it'll come in handy one day. But yeah, r-studio is for people who can't handle a real recovery program.
