Hey all,

My mums auto magna gear box shat itself (as they do) and i've been trying to get a gear box for it. Any idea's where? I've tried all jap on sandgate rd and they said they didn't have one and couldn't get one.


Also, car is for sale, if you want it. All reasonable offers considered. 120,054kms also serviced. straight body work just a slight graze of paint of the front bumper.

used these guys recently when some wanker kicked my girlfriends mirror off her car while it was parked in the valley

they were good/easy to deal with, paid for over the phone and it was 0 problems

magnas aren't jdm so all jap were always going to be useless

try the wrecker down the road from all jap on zillmere road, go down sandgate road turn left at zillmere road at the turkish place and s*** and then it's just across that bridge, can't miss it

Any idea what the name is pave? Tried Carseldine wreckers to no avail. And you do mean the place on beams rd right?

Rang sandgate wreckers, didn't have a gear box for it. But offered $700 for the car.

$700 for a 2000 Magna?

That didn't depreciate much.

it's right near sandgate road, on zillmere road

this shouldn't be a very big mission there is squillions of these cars around

shouldn't be any harder to find than a commodore gear box

you dont get the car towed there, you take it to a mechanic in geebung or virgina and tell them that the wreckers has a box, they'll get it shipped over
they do deliveries to brisbane cbd & surrounds twice a day

yeah these places we're talking about aren't mechanics, they have the s*** and sell it thats about it

Called the mob pave.

$1100 for the gear box. Also included is 6 months warrenty for parts and labour. So if it breaks down again within those 6 months, they will pay for parts and labour to fix it.

Tempted to go with this over the $500 gear box from the wreckers.

Called them up teq, And they gave me a number to call, and the number was for the mob pave gave me. :)

^ nah. they pay for the labour and parts if it breaks down within the next 6 months.

$500 for a gearbox isn't bad.

imo throw it in the boot, drive/tow it to the folks place and give dad power a chance.
