A new version of Firefox has landed, bringing this uber-browser to version 3.0.4. The change list is as follows:
* Fixed several security issues.
* Fixed several stability issues.
* Official releases for the Icelandic and Thai languages are now available.
* Beta releases for the Bulgarian, Esperanto, Estonian, Latvian, Occitan, and Welsh languages are available for testing.
* Updated the internal Public Suffix list.
* Fixed an issue where the IME input tool used to enter Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Indic characters was covered by the "Add Bookmark" panel. (bug 433340)
* Enabled additional EV root certificates. (bug 451305)
* Fixed an issue where some passwords saved using Firefox 3.0.2 did not work properly. (bug 457358)
* In some cases, Firefox would not properly save proxy settings for protocols other than HTTP. (bug 446536)
If you haven't auto-updated yet you can download the installer manually now locally from AusGamers.

I was going to post a new threadz but this is as good as any - MS have reported to have said that their "Office Web" version will be compatible with FF & Safari across OSX, iPhone and Linux.

Neat, but - that's such a lame thing for them to say, they should just say it's standards compatible. If it's a proper web application, it should just work on ANY browser, not just a handful of selected ones.

I was reading this thinking how cool it was, and wondering why my firefox hadn't automatically updated, then realised I use google chrome now...

My firefox has slowed to a crawl. Takes 20 seconds to fire up on a cold start, viewing my bookmarks folder hangs the program. Got to clear out my bookmarks and history ... it's apparently due to its link database growing forever or something.

Fixed by exporting my bookmarks and reimporting them. woot.

i constantly have problems with flash pages owning my firefox and also it eating up hundreds of meg of ram and 50%+ cpu ... then again i encounter the same problems ALOT more on chrome... and even less on the latest IE... however IE general browsing and page rendering is alot slower thenc chrome or firefox when they are working well... sigh each has bad points :(

has anyone actually found the chrome design to work? i find that when flash causes chrome to consume too much ram or cpu that all my browser windows slow down, sure they dont lock up completly and eventually i _may_ get an unhappy face that allows me to close a tab but thats after it's already taken me about 30s-5minutes to activate another tab and have the close click register?
