My custom Maton that I must have had for almost 10 years now is in desperate need for a full make-over. Can anyone recommend a good guitar service shop in Brisbane, preferably one that'll cost me less than about $200.

Hopefully I haven't mistreated the guitar too badly and the neck hasn't moved horribly or anything like that...

mm $200 might be pushing it but if it were me, I'd send it back to the maton guys in SA (or is it VIC?) and have them do it, they built it in the first place so they'd be the best ones to fix it

Cant remember the name, but the guy next to billy hydes near the valley is pretty good.

Guy called Mick Gentry on the Gold Coast. Google his name. He is connected to Maton in some way as well from memory. He's da man.

Next to billy hydes in the valley used to be Musician's Pro Shop didn't it?

From what I've heard very professional, mate sent a guitar into him and very happy with the results

Seriously, if you have a 10 yr old maton, spend some money on it, don't take it to some dodge person!

If my 325 was going for a service it would prolly be taking a trip to him.

yeah thats it, octotech, though it started with o something. He isnt cheap but apparently does a real good job, mates taken his guitar there before and it came back setup sweet as.

Any idea of a ball park price? And what's the turn around time?
