Brothers laptop died, he needs computer ASAP, my postie run goes past Umart (Milton) today and I'll piece it together for him tonight.
http://umart.com.au/newindex2.phtml?bid=2 Cheapest possible setup, no monitor needed, no graphics/gaming needed. Only needs to run internet. He's not interested in one of those small/cheap laptops. I haven't put together a PC since my P4, no idea what the best mobo/CPU/ram combo is with all the new gear, what HDD goes with what and how much PSU/what case to get. If someones willing to just pick out compatible parts from the Umart list that would be of great help. Thanks in advance guys! |

I just thought something I put together myself would be better/cheaper then what they offer prebuilt.
So what's the deal with that barebones thing? That still needs RAM/HDD and such right? Don't know much about Intel Atoms, I would have thought the cheapest dual core would be the go or something. |

Agree MSY > Umart.
Umart should learn never to piss me off. Cause you know, I won't buy from them anymore and I may or may not voice my opinion on an internet forum where people may or may not care what I say. |
