If you're interested to know more about Microsoft's planned free Dashboard update for the Xbox 360, the New Xbox Experience, AusGamers sat down with Microsoft's Xbox Product Manager, Aaron Greenberg, to let him run us through the new operating system and grill him about all things Avatars, Themes and Games.

The video runs you through a live demo of the system up and running, and also gives you a lot more detailed information on the various announced elements.

Hit this link to see Greenberg running us through the New Xbox Experience.

Apologies again for the sound issues. We were off mic on this one, so the questions are a bit noisy.

It was a pretty interesting walkthrough though, I was particularly impressed with the snappiness of it all, even though it's nicer looking, it seems much better performance wise than the current dashboard.

yeah dude sounds was fine, great interview.

i think they have done a pretty fkn good job of it, and it was a really interesting point he made at the end there about how they are relaunching the whole xbox360 product through software.

and the blades interface is going to be the ingame dashboard. and that is totally improved.

and if you are a heathen and don't want any of the new experience you can hit the guide button and load up the blades over the new interface.

I can't be f***ed watching the video but can someone answer if arcade games load up instantly or do you still have to wait for them to slowly pop up on the screen?

I get this:
The version of the Flash player you currently have installed does not
meet the minimum requirements.

I've got the latest version installed.

edit: I can't watch it or even download it off ausgamers but there's one on gamearena that works just fine if its the same video. If that's the new interface I'm not connecting my xbox to the internet again... EVER. Looks s***.

It's heaps more functional than the current Dashboard and pretty customisable
