4.6Q What is the Currency interface?
4.6A The Currency interface will store various currency items (badges etc) for you. You can find it by clicking on your character-button and then the Token-tab.

4.7Q What kind of tokens can the Currency-tab hold?
4.7A Currently it can hold:

* Arena points
* Badges of Justice
* Honour points

4.8Q Can I display the currency like I do gold?
4.8A Yes you can. Simply click on a currency and mark "Show on Backpack".

5.1A Yes, you will get a free respec.

5.2A Yes it will. 3.0.2 will introduce the new talents and spells/abilities (this includes the 51-talent points). Yes, you will get a one-time free respec when the patch comes.

5.6Q My lower spells/abilities say they cost way more mana then my latest-rank. This a bug?
5.6A No, it's not a bug. Blizzard decided that down-ranking would not be a good way to play.

5.7Q Where did my spell-damage and healing stats go?
5.7A These stats are now merged and is now called spell power. The amount of spell power will be lower compared to the old stats, but the results will stay the same. The items containing spell power and healing will be changed to give spell power.

5.8Q Are there any major raid changes in 3.0.2?
5.8A Yes, various buffs and auras will be changed. See the link for details.

5.9A Blizzard is still working on the talents and how certain removal/altering of abilities will work. Illidan will for example no longer have the Shear ability.

6. Inscription & Glyphes:


6.1Q Will 3.0.2 introduce Inscription, the new profession?
6.1A Yes it will. You can level up inscription up to level 375.

6.2Q What does Inscription do?
6.2A With Inscription you are capable of making the following things:
o Buff scrolls (like the ones you loot)
o Cards (Darkmoon cards)
o Enchant scrolls (be able to put enchants on scrolls)
o Glyphs (read further)
o Off-hand items
o Runewords (temporary armour buffs)
o Runes (offensive spells)
o Shoulder enchants

6.3Q What gathering profession do I need for Inscription?
6.3A Herbalism.

6.4Q Where can I train Inscription? Where can I find a [Virtuoso Inking Set] for Inscription?
6.4A Each city should have a trainer along side a vendor for Inscription. [Virtuoso Inking Set] can be found in the Inscription vendors.

6.5Q How do go I beyond Inscription level 60-65?
6.5A You will need to “Mill” herbs. Milling herbs results in destroying five herbs but gives new reagents back (just like Prospecting with Jewelcrafting).

6.6Q What do the cards or tarots do?
6.6A If you complete them all (from ace until five) you will get a Deck. The Rogue deck for example is a low level quest which results in you delivering the Deck to the Darkmoon Fair. Currently the tarots/decks are:
o Arcane Tarot (of Mages deck)
o Mysterious Tarot (of Rogues deck)
o Shadowy Tarot (of Demon deck)
o Strange Tarot (of Sword deck)

6.7Q What are Glyphs?
6.7A Glyphs are “spell-enhancers” (effect your spells/abilities). There are two categories: three major and three minor (so 6 in total). The minor will be cosmetic spell enhancers or small increase of spell (For example Polymorph turns into a penguin or lesser mana cost). The major will be a big spell enhancer (for example more damage, more effects on a spell).

6.8Q Where can I find my Glyphs?
6.8A Press your spellbook and click the Glyphs-tab.

6.9Q Can I replace glyphs? What will happen to the replaced glyph?
6.9A Glyphs can be replaced, however, upon doing so you will destroy the old glyph. This can be compared to Jewelcrafting gems on items. Do note that there is a one-hour cooldown when replacing that glyph.

6.10Q How many Glyph-slots do I get per level?
6.10A
o Level 1-14: No glyhp-slots at all
o Level 15-29: 1 major and 1 minor
o Level 30-49: 2 major and 1 minor
o Level 50-69: 2 major and 2 minor
o Level 70-79: 2 major and 3 minor
o Level 80: 3 major and 3 minor

6.11Q Where are the minor glyphs?
6.11A You can discover these by using [Minor Inscription Research]; learnable at 90 inscription.

7. Mounts and vanity pets:


7.1Q Dude, where's my mount dude?
7.1A Dude, it's now put in your mount storage space. Press your “character” button and then “Pets”. Select the tab “Mounts” and there they are. Mounts are now “learnable” and won't use up any bag-space any more. As always, mounts can be put on your hot-bar.

7.2Q I seem to miss my vanity pets. Where did they go?
7.2A Just like the mounts they got a separate storage space now. You can find the pets by pressing your “character” button, press “Pets” and then “Companions”. Vanity pets are now “learnable” and won't use up any bag-space any more. As always, vanity pets can be put on your hot-bar.

7.3Q Will 3.0.2 give the 3-person-mount?
7.3A No it won't.
8. Achievements:


8.1Q When do I get an achievement?
8.1A You get an achievement once you completed a certain criteria. The criteria can vary and can be viewed in the achievement-window (the little golden shield in your mini-bar).

8.2Q Will I get achievements of things I already done? For example kill Vashj.
8.2A Yes and no. Certain achievements will be complete once you start. Certain rep, items, quests and profession goals will be complete (if they meet the criteria). Achievements like “do this and that”, “kill him/her/it” etc will not be complete and will have to be done again.

8.3Q Can I see how many things I still need to do for that a certain achievement?
8.3A Yes, with some achievements you can click on them to see the status. For example exploration achievements will show you sub-zones not explored yet.

8.4Q I just completed an achievement and now there's a the same achievement again but not completed.
8.4A Yes, some achievement get new “levels” after reaching that achievement. For example get 5 reputation to exalted will result in a new achievement that required 10 reputations on exalted.

8.5Q Do achievements give anything?
8.5A Yes, certain achievements give titles, pets etc.

8.6Q Can I spend achievement points on anything?
8.6A No, they aren't a currency.

8.7Q Can I track achievements like quests?
8.7A Yes you can. Simply click on the achievement and put a mark on the “Track”.

8.8Q When do I get my rewards from the achievements?
8.8A Non-title rewards will be delivered by (in-game) mail.

9. Barbershop:


9.1Q Will the barbershop feature be in 3.0.2?
9.1A Yes it will.

7.1Q Dude, where's my mount dude?

Most asked, most annoying question you'll see in the beta. Expect the servers to be full of people asking this s*** for the next few days. It ranges from casual puzzlement where people are wondering where their mount went, to the people who rage about "f***ing blizzard, the patch f***ed up and all my mounts are gone, f*** you blizzard".

4.2Q Will 3.0.2 destroy all my mods again?

Actually, contrary to what that guy says, it will actually destroy most of your mods. I tried copying my mods I use in normal WoW, straight over to beta, and none of them worked properly. Some flat out crashed and didn't run at all, and the ones that did run, still didn't run 100% right.

But a lot of mod makers should have 3.0 versions of their mods ready to go because they've been working on them with the beta, so hopefully you should be able to just update and get nice, working 3.0 compatible versions tomorrow. Maybe.

Also, pet devilsaurs are hilarious, they still keep the same sounds and animation set when they're shrunk down to pet size as when they're full size, so they stomp around making far too much noise for their size. They used to even retain the screen shake effect so when a hunter would run past with a pet devilsaur it'd shake your screen, but they took that out (I'd imagine it'd be extremely annoying for the hunter having his screen permanently shaking).

Sweet, this means I don't have to wait for my housemate's raid-free night before we can watch all of the new episodes of TV shows for the week. He said that they're stopping their raid schedule once this patch is out until they reach level 80.

So that 1.11gig patch that I leeched last week is what they're rolling out tomorrow morning? Also like how they've made a boat go directly to SW from Auberdine. It's been a while but I remember when starting a NE and having to do that crazy-ass run from Menithil Harbor to IF.

Yes there is. I'm not sure where you would find the dl'er though coz the thing just starts up when you start wow.

Yeah, downloader via BT. But since the Blizzard BT client sucks (100% upload?@!?@), I just pulled out the torrent and loaded into a real client.

It's about 1.2GB all up.

I placed the files into where Blizzard expects them to be, and the next time I ran the game, it patched it up for me. Now I have a shiny new blue login screen (WotLK) and no server to connect to..

If anyone is still up and wants to test the patch I'm mirroring please just post here and let me know
