Got this scratch card today in the Junk Mail.
2 games on the one card.
1st game didnt win
2nd game win
To claim the prize you have to sms a 6 digit code to Games2Mobile which then signs you up to a service that bills you $6.60 every 5 days.
They SMS you back a code you have to write on a card then post it to a po box to claim a " Listed Prize "
the prizes are $25 000 ten $1000 10 playstations , X-boxes and WIIs.

I dont feel that lucky that Ive won anything like that.
Anybody else scratched these and won ?
I cant find a website that shows the " Listed Prizes " and Im sure its a con.

Coincidently My next door neighbours card is exactly the same.

Game 2 winner ?

Crown Spade Heart
Club Crown Crown

Looks like Everyones a WINNER

Was listening to ABC Radio Friday Morning and they had some TIO guy on there answering a couple of questions from ppl that have been ripped off.
Apparantly the ABC switchboard had a MELTDOWN and i think the guys gonna be on there tomorrow morning 9-11.
I might let them know.

Strange Rash: yeah the TIO guy said first you have to contact your Phone Carrier and if they dont resolve the problem you can contact the TIO.
It actually costs your Phone Carrier money for the TIO to investigate so they will usually let you off unless youve subscribed to the service.
For instance in this case if i was to SMS and Claim my Prize they wont let me out of it.
If its unsolicited then you should get refund/credit.

You do realise that your phone company is like a credit card company. They act as a method of payment, not as distributors of content. They simply channel the cashflow from you to the content provider.

Strange Rash: Only if you've subscribed to the service. Consumer - to - consumer SMS never costs the recipient.

This is completely legal for reasons I can't understand. Every single mobile content provider that advertise anywhere do the exact same thing. I think this is the worst f***ing way to make money in the world. The only defense against this type of thing is that premium SMS services are disabled by default. You have to contact your telco to activate it.

The reason they have to scam so much is that most telco's make the content providers pay through the nose for this type of thing nearly 50% wasted in transaction fee's.

I got one of these too, except Game 1 was the Winnah!

Also just add a little more insult to it. When you initially sign up, it costs $6.60, then on the first Friday following, you get billed the weekly $6.60. I wonder if it costs you $6.60 to do the 'stop' sms?

I wonder if legally they are supposed to publish the names of the winners.
Tell us what you won.
I bet its a stack of ringtones that require you to pay Another $6 to access your prize.

So... to claim your prize... you sign up to a service which bills you...

Anyone stupid enough to get sucked into this deserves the Darwin award.

Its on their website.

http://www.games2mobile.com.au/terms_promo.php
Quoted from the above url "
Total prize pool

7. 5,000,000 instant win prizes will be available as follows:

1. 1 x cash prize of $25,000 (payable by cheque)
2. 10 x Playstation 3 x $700
3. 10 x Nintendo Wii x $400
4. 10 x xBox 360 x $600,
5. 10 x cash prizes of $1000 (payable by cheque)
6. 10 x Apple iPhone x $800
7. 999,939 x Mega mobile Packs (mobile games) x $10
8. 10 x $1200 fuel cards.
"

So you sign up for ~$41 a month and you will receive one of nearly a million $10 mobile game packs... or one of the 61 other prizes which are decent. If you unsubscribe your are no longer eligible for your prize. and you have to pick up the prize from an undisclosed location.

I'd rather not pay $41+ to receive a $10 voucher for mobile games i dont want!
since thats the prize that 99.9939% of suckers will receive!

i got the leaflet a few days ago... it doesn't say anything like turn page over or anything, and in the whole double side there's only one line that mentions anything about $6.60.

Heck, I'm tempted to do a similar thing myself but put $66.60 per week instead and $profit$
