SAE and Qantm have announced a collaborative effort to bring their educational prowess in the "creative media industry" to even more people with a $1.5 million dollar round of scholarships:

The SAE Institute, the world's largest audio engineering, animation and film school, today announced a $1.5 million national scholarship program in partnership with Qantm College.

With a combined value of $1.5 million, the SAE/Qantm Scholarship Program will provide 180 part scholarships, covering 50 per cent of tuition fees, and nine full scholarships, covering 100 per cent of tuition fees, over the next 12 months across Australia.

put the $1.5m into developing projects that people can actually get jobs on

I think if we have many educated game developers in Australia with not many projects we will see lot's of start ups, which is awesome for innovation because they usually have to work on original IP. Anyway- there are a few casual game developers and studios around AU.

i wish QANTM would spend half that to get computers which would actually make me want to work at uni and a network that doesn't always s*** itself first :|
