Anyone who started has now stopped playing, you're too late.

Yeah great potential in this game but fully unfinished! Play on Bloodspire for a month then come back in 6.

Is it really that bad? Maybe that's why there is no trial version available.

No it's actually pretty decent, however it's missing so much content and features that it's not really worth playing atm...I'll wait 6 months then have another look.... Just checkout the official forums to get a general idea of the distain!

I loved it aside from a couple of annoying game mechanics, but as has already been said didn't wanna pay for such a blatant beta. A lot of the decisions they seemed to make surrounding when to patch and what to patch gave me the impression that they didn't give much of a s*** about oceanic customers, and cared more about stopping people getting to 80 fast than fixing bugs that plague you constantly while playing.

The game when I stopped playing was definately beta.
A fairly well polished beta. But they were still making significant changes to mechanics.

How the f*** can they release so many patches so often that are so GIGANTICUMONGOUS. It's ridiculous and one of the reasons I stopped playing. Everytime I launched AoC it had to download another 30, 40 or 50mb.
