Hey, I'm sure at least a few of you out there have tinted your windows and I was just wondering if anyone knows if there's any real difference between all the different places and different tints. From looking online they all pretty much seem to have the same statistics like 60% heat reduction etc and I want to know if places like Tintacar actually do have a better tint or are you paying an extra hundred for no reason. Thanks for any input.

Edit: I have a BA falcon so it has the aerial 'printed' onto the rear screen not inside the glass.

Anyway, I've heard the cheaper tints use some crap that fades after a while and goes purple and 3M guarantee theirs not to fade or change colour when installed by a 3M certified installer. I heard it on an ad on the radio.

I got my tint done by the dealer when I brought it and they did a crap job! There where artifacts under the tint and some bubbles. I made them redo the whole thing :) But yeah, what I am trying to say is it's not just the quality of tint but also how and who it's installed by.

I went to premier tint. Job is ok, but not as dark as I'd like and they reckon that's their darkest.
