And it's all free! Define "free" You still need to buy Quake II for the retail data-files (maps, textures, audio, etc) unless you are content just playing the Quake II demo levels. Also, this release is nothing special in terms of gameplay. Unless you are a programmer and can appreciate the technical feat, then there is not much interesting about an identical conversion to Java. If you want to play q2 dm you only need the demo + the 3.20 full patch.
The full patch is ~20meg and has all the dm levels in it. |
