Okay guys heres a quick rundown.

left friday night, got there around 11pm EDST, got to the hotel with our hire car and was told that they didnt leave a car remote out for us, so we had to park on the street in cremorne (with a 5000 dollar excess if the car got damaged and it was our responsibility) we didnt sleep too easy that night, but hey!

Saturday morning walked around the city till my legs dropped off, went to see the sights (well the free ones) and did some pretty hefty shopping, then hit star city up for a quick 100 buck loss, and went back to the room.

Went to try and find a place called Soup PLus - a jazz club, but apparently it moved a year before and we couldnt find the new place, so we went back to the hotel, grabbed the car and did some drive around exploring.

Sunday morning woke up, checked out, and drove around the northern beaches, hit church point up to check out scotland island (where my gf's parents had a house for like 15 years) and some other areas of sydney, got back to the airport at 7pm EDST for a 9pm flight, seeing if we could get an earlier one. APPARENTLY there was an electrical storm in brisbane and combined with some mechanical failures on one aircraft, flights were delayed.

Oh wells, we were going to leave at 10pm, get here at 10:30 (with daylight savings) and that was okay, considering we both had to work at 7am today.

so, 10pm turned to 10:20, 10:20 turned to 10:30, 10:30 turned to 10:50 - the latest time possible because of the fkn sydney curfew on plane flights.

So as we are sitting there consigning ourselves to having to stay another night in sydney, and catch a 6am flight to try and make it to work in time, they announce that they got a 5 minute buffer from the ministry of transport, and were goign to do a quick unload, and loadup of the plane.

it wouldnt have taken more than 10 minutes to get everyone on the plane, seated, and taxi-ing to the runway, taking off with a minute to spare. What an exciting night!

anyway, im tired, and at work, but it was an awesome weekend, and we spent far too much money, but hey :)

manly was nice, drove through that area and checked it out.

generally i dont think i could ever live in sydney, brisbane is the place to be, and as enjoyable as it is visiting sydney, it makes me appreciate here even more :)

sifnt go for a swim at tamarama (just south of bondi).

one time there i witnessed a group of brazilian babes frolicking topless with only tiny g-bangers on. it was magnificent. so many cameltoes that suhaib wouldve been homesick.

Yeah, f***ing electrical storm was unbeliveable - looks awesome though. It just hung around for ages flashing flashing, like fire works. Good to see you get home alright and have a good time :)

saturday was annoying!

raining in the morning so we took coats and an umbrella with us to the city. ended up ditching the umbrella and lugging the coats around when it suddenly went clear and stinkin hot.

Thats melbourne weather, not sydney! :p

I dunno Kat, Im pretty sure you'd fit in well in the western suburbs.

Sydney offers surfing in summer and access to snow in winter. Better nightlife and way better food. Its nice having a local band scene as well as all the top international DJs and bands definately visiting.

i lived in sydney breifly, cant say i enjoyed living in the inner south too much but the apartment at broardway was nice for a few weeks. I like the CBD of sydney and the northen beaches etc are awesome. I still prefer brisbane for lifestyle but love the late shopping hours etc of sydney.
