Ok, im living at Mt Gravatt (southside!), and if i look east, i can see this beasty super cell looking storm cloud wiht flashes of lightning inside it 2 times every second almost. it really does look awesome and would be so nice to get a long exposure picture of the beast.

you don't need nightvision for long exposure. stick it on a tripod, leave shutter open for 15 seconds, instant long exposure.

I got caught driving in this where it was impossible to pull over. 5 near death experiences in 5 mins. Oh and parts of West End/Highgate Hill flooding was interesting too. You would think people had never seen water before.
