Vivendi have confirmed that the F.E.A.R. multiplayer demo will be made available tomorrow:

The F.E.A.R. Multiplayer Demo will feature:
Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Elimination and Capture The Flag game types, plus the ‘Slo Mo’ variants of these game types
2 Maps – DM Factory & CT Facility
Demo size – 461 Meg
LAN Support
16 Players
9 Weapon Types
3 Grenade / Mine types

They're totally organised on this one, so we've got the demo ready to roll for its release at 5am tomorrow (GameSpot get a 1 hour exclusive starting from 4am). If all goes to plan it will automagically be made available from AusGamers Files, so check it out in the morning.

Also, the awesome pre-release means that we were able to get servers up in advance on GameArena.

Server-side, the beta was (surprisingly) good - nice on CPU, didn't see a single server crash. So far I'm very impressed with the quality of the software from a server perspective at least, something which is pretty darn rare. There's certainly a few things I'd change but it beats the pants off most new releases - which gives me some hope that they've put a lot of effort into making MP a major part of the game.

damn that's great, I was worried what with it being a lithtech engine game the server app would be crappy.
