Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park has put up a new song, named Petrified, from his eagerly anticipated solo album, Fort Minor. Listen to it for free at the official website: www.mikeshinoda.com -- click for new window.

The Fort Minor album differs from what many may have come to expect from Mike Shinoda, featuring his much loved Hip Hop beats and qausi-gangster trash-talking raps. According to mikeshinoda.com, the album will be released on November 22nd.

Linkin Park = Corporate rock

It's just a shallow veneer to fool those who want to jump on the bandwagon of watered down teenage rebellion. What happened to finding unique underground bands that actually meant something. Yeah, I guess why bother when you can get your fix of safe yet slightly edgy, mum-and-dad approved, sanitised "punk rock" d*******s (who are sponsored by Nokia and Lynx) on video hits every Saturday morning.

I'm sorry if I sound like a grumpy old man here, but it seems to me that the corporate MTV goons are selling your angst back to you in a neat little package that losers swallow cos it's accessible and not too offensive.

All these softcock bands like Linkin Park, Green Day and all the rest of the "wow, left of centre is cool, let's make a million" bands make me want to chuck.

I mean like what you like, if you think that's really good music or whatever good luck to you.
Seriously though what is with that ghey singing and s***. Doesn't that say to you "selling out for the quick dumb buck"? Crossover bands can eat dick as far as I'm concerned.

*smiles approvingly as Suicidals drown out any memory of Mike Shineda's cute little group of perfectly punk, forgotten-in-5-years heroes.

All bands start in a garage vegetable (well, except for these reality tv ones that are manufactured)

If I was in a s*** band with a cult following, earning barely enough to pay the rent, I too would sell my soul to Nokia and Lynx for $1,000,000 and start playing s***ty music
