Ok, I hate to sound like a sore loser... and I probably do, but did anyone else notice the following about this afternoon's game...

1) The Tigers didn't really score any tries from in the Broncos' 20m zone, they all came from broken play in their own half.

2) The tigers would hold on to the broncos' players for about 10 seconds after they had been tackled to slow down the play the ball, and yet the referee didnt call one penalty (from what I remember)

At 24-6, I've stopped watching, but I cant believe half of the things I've seen today, just unbelievably stupid refereing, and terrible completion by the Broncos.

Yeah I also think they were holding down in the play the ball way too long.

However, the broncos played like s***, they had plenty of god damn opportunities but they either dropped the ball, poor execution, or no one was backing up a line break. I really thought they were going to come good this week but they made the same mistakes that they have been making in the last 2 months.

Anyway... Go cowboys!

pretty much completely agree..

The broncos were the team making the breaks, just couldn't seem to convert oppertunities into points.

I think that wests were slowing the play the ball a little, but the main reason we lost was cause of handling errors and general poor decisions.

I normally thing that gus gould is an idiot, but 1 point i'll agree with is i think lockyer would be better off going back to full back.

End of field completion was complete ass, just himself Hunt threw away about 4 or 5 good opportunities... he played absolute rubbish today.

Despite that they looked quite good until they got within about 20m of the tryline where they'd just die.

Pretty dissapointing overall.

yeah there was some bad referring calls today

but how good are teh tigers (not I dont follow them) when they get a sniff, they just throw the ball around and it's exciting to watch

bronco's killed themselves, they made 5 or 6 breaks in the first half and couldn't convert, from then it was just a matter of time until the tigs went over...

I think the tigers are riding on a high/roll at the moment. Their heads' keep getting bigger by each match. However, i don't think we will be seeing anyone from the tigers representing Aus in tests.

I really dont think the Tigers played well today, I just think they played average, and the broncos played so terribly that they lost it for themselves.

Our front-rowers were making breaks but we still lost. That 1 sentence can summarise the game nicely if you can infer along it with some rugby-league know how.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer team.

Best luck for 2006 broncos fans!

Very disappointing run from the Broncos, although not paerticularly susprising given their end of year form (6? 7? straight losses). What surprised me was that the Broncos were apparently at $1.75 while the Tigers at $2.20+? I guess there isn;t much smart money around these days.

Tigers took advantage of lots of broken play and as usual took a fair number of chances. This made for good TV football but I don't see them faring so well versus an experienced and in form side like the Dragons next week. The Tigers' attack was pretty much blunt for 39 minutes of the first half against an out of form Broncos side. Against a stronger, in form forward pack with a tighter, cleaner game and plays pushed from the guy pipped as Andrew John's successor they will not do well.

If the Dragons and Eels retain their form next weekend and Cowboys and Tigers don't come up with something special we'll definetly see a #1 vs #2 Grand Final which should be good to watch.

Hmm most of the usual sites only show Round 3 and beyond today. This page still shows some sites with Tigers paying more.
