As discussed in this thread of stinky's, we're gonna do a sundown national park run on the weekend of August 20/21, leaving brisbane fairly early on the saturday morning and heading down to stanthorpe and on through ballandean where the nth entrance to the park is located.

If you're interested you're welcome to reply to this thread, but also shoot me an email to jason at qgl dawt org with your name as well as the nickname you post here with, along with some contact details including phone number, address. If you've got a vehicle with low range and in good condition (especially the tyres, it's very sharp, rocky terrain) and want to come along please include your vehicle details and whether or not you're happy to take anyone along with you, keeping in mind you'll need room for their gear as well - so that we know whether we can cater to people who want to come, but don't have a suitable vehicle.

though it all sounds like fun (besides that it's mostly a sasuage fest), i still got lots of camping s*** to get out of my system... 7 days in the jungle, with minimal water, rations that give you constipation and no working shower...

Goodna Macca's is usually a good starting point heading west.

Also every car coming should have a UHF radio. Either handheld or in car.

What things do i need to bring?

The river is pretty much dried up except for a couple of waterholes. You could give it a go, but I don't like your chances - plus the water is pretty festy.

Ask obes what you need to bring, if you're going with him cos you'll have to fit your gear into his car prolly. But basically a tent, sleeping bag, warm clothes and enough tucker and water, and some money+change for camping permit (about $4 per person per night)

i don't have a tent, obes/ fknukle, lets share a tent ok i promise there won't be any funny business while its dark ok.
