I watched most of the match, they were f***ing pathetic. Props to Bangladesh though, they played an excellent match.

batting we struggled, seems odd we score 345 or whatever it was the other day and then for the ODI they can't hit s*** and the bowlers didn't look dangerous at all..

goody this was part of the one day series - no 20/20 proper 50 over ODI! :P

Hmmm, wasn't actually an awfully bad game last night. Good to see Hussey hitting some runs, and Clarke helped steady the sinking ship.

Ponting is really out of form though, I hope he can pick it up for the test series.

He might be out of form but he's the Aussie captain, they'll let Ponting go another 2-3 years before considering dropping him from the team.

I wasn't suggesting dropping him, I know he's more important to the team than simply his batting. But he is severly out of form with the bat, hopefully he can pick it back up a.s.a.p

The bowling is also too expensive, 1 wicket between Gillespie and Kasper, and 134 runs off them in their 20 overs.

I had a bad feeling about these on dayers ever since I watched Peiterson destroy South Africa, and I do mean destruction. This guy is averaging around 180 with the bat now after 14 one dayers at a strike rate over 100 and a fit Andrew Flintoff is awefully dangerous.

I'm still not convinced about Shane Watson's batting at international level either. I had sort of expected him to fit into a Lance Kluesner sort of mold but he doesn't appear anywhere near as explosive with the bat, possibly not as sure of himself I spose...

Also anyone else noticing that Kasper is developing a bad habit of going for 15+ runs in important overs? I remember NZ taking him for like 18 in a match deciding over not long ago.

Final thought. Symonds has served his 2 matches, who the hell do you drop for him? Can't be Clarke or Hussey they've done there job in the last 2 matches. Top 4 have a good hold on there spots (have for years) its basically gotta be Watson but once that happens our bowling attack looks a bit thin against an English team. Peiterson / Flintoff vs Symonds I don't really consider a contest.
