Audrey Hepburn .... Holly Golightly George Peppard .... Paul 'Fred' Varjak Based on Truman Capote's novella, this is the story of a young, jet- setting woman in New York City who meets a young man when he moves into her apartment building. He is being kept by a wealthy, older woman, but wants to be a writer. She is working as a high-priced escort and searching for a rich, older man to marry. The opening scene has her window-shopping at Tiffany's at six in the morning, after being up all night on a date. Finally got around to watching this today and I gotta say it's f***ing awesome!! Audrey Hepburn was excellent but George Peppard really stood out. Besides only seeing him as Hannibal in the A-Team I'd never seen his earlier pictures, except one that was made in the 80's called, The Race For The Yankee Zephyr or something like that, which was also a damn cool movie. The sound quality on the DVD was f***ing amazing however they didn't really do much to get the picture alot crisper. Still I guess it doesn't really matter. Also, the music was done by Henry Mancini so you knew it was gonna by something special. Anyway, if you don't mind some of the older flicks I can definately recommend this. Again, it was a really f***ing cool movie. 8-) |

Great film. Similar classics are still entertaining to experience. Their age gives them an edge of fantasy. Roman Holiday is another such classic along a similar vein.

I haven't watched Roman Holiday, but the Mandy Moore movie Chasing Liberty is based on that story, which I have seen and own a DVD copy.
Sweet, sweet, Mandy. Is there anything you can't do. 8-) |

She can have me anytime. If I remember it was only last week I was chatting to her and she was wanting me to head over to the US to live with her. And I was like, "Mandy, you know I can't, I'm very busy doing stuff here. How about I call you a a couple of days?" I could hear her heart start racing because she gets so turned on when I'm talking to her.
Anyway, I'm sure you guys don't wanna hear about this. |

Did you see the remake with Christopher Reeves.
I haven't, but it looks f***ing hilarious on the back cover. Christopher Reeves in that wheelchair of his, just looked wrong in so many ways. |
