The host can click on start a single player game, other players can click join an internet game and then click on 'connect to ip'.

Xyzzy and I had a game, and in all honesty the AI team mates were more intelligent than the vast majority players online.

Which isn't that surprised.

Too bad I can't play single player with any level of success.

My mouse/inputs are severely lagged. Sometimes I move the mouse to look around but the game doesn't register my movement.

Only happens in single-player. Multi is fine.

Hey trog, care to share just how you changed the timelimit on the GA servers? I was under the impression that was a fixed timer - or am I completely off track?

This innocent BF2 tweak guide harmlessly tells you how to improve your system as well as removing the timelimit

Hermi, from the BF42 server list:
Find " host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1) " in
\mods\bf2\python\game\gamemodes\gpm_cq.py and comment it out.
Weapon unlock info here.

Do the dediated server mods work in single player mode as well?

Also, this method wouldnt allow you to get planes and choppers, cause single player is only 16 player :/

No but this file I mirrored apparently does: server.zip

Go into Battlefield 2 Demo/mods/bf2/Levels/Gulf_of_Oman/ and backup the original server.zip and replace it with the file I linked above.

I've yet to try this, but others have it working without problems :P

Did you get this totally working? I just tried it, and it seems to work, but then a few minutes into the map it dumps me back to windows, without even an error message.

No Khel I didnt, your probably getting that message because your starting a multiplayer server. If you run a single player game, and get users to connect, it wont dump you, however, when the client trys to connect, it gets to the loading resources part and drops the client.

Parabol, got a source for that file at all, so we can have a read? :)

Nah, I was talking about that zip file parabol posted. When I copy that over, and start a single player game, it randomly just quits out of BF2 completely with no error (not just quits the map, quits the entire game). It might not be quite so random though, as I found that every time I try and use the defense gun on the carrier (the one with the big chaingun and the linked heatseeking rockets), that makes it quit.

If that zip was working for you in single player Eds, can you try starting up a single player game, going US and try and use that gun on the carrier to see if the same thing happens on yours?
