Some f*** just came into our house and try and steal my mothers purse, JUST THEN. she is calling the police now. (course she saw him make a snatch for the purse) she turned around, and he pissbolted.

not only that, he came to my door asking me "does karen fledge(can't remember the actual name, but thats close enough) live here" then i say "nope" he says "oh? how long have you lived here" i say "a good 6-8 months" he said "ok" and left. acouple of min later i hear my mum calling out for me, i go out, she said "some guy just tried to steal my purse", and thats when she told me.

now im thinking about walking around with a nice fat club like stick (i got one) and do some vigilanting on his arse.

would the purse have been visible from the door? cos he may have been sussing out what he could easily grab when he knocked.

Speaking of crime on the southside and going back many years ago at a Regen Lan ... before it became QGL. Does anyone remember that f*** that tried to snatch the cash box from the front door. It was f***ing funny, he was checking it out for some time and raised a fair bit of suspicion cuz he didn't seem to come across as a geek. A few minutes later he grabed it only to be pounded to the ground and held by the neck by some dude quick enough to get him in time. I remember everything calming down until he screamed out to the dude holding his throat that he couldn't breath. As soon as he let go the f***er ran. Anyone ???

Do you lock your front door even when you're home? I know I rarely lock it when I'm home, unless I'm in another room down the end of the house with my headphones on or something, and theres nobody else home.

For me,the only time its not locked is if im walking out of it.I live in a townhouse complex with security gates,and even if im next door,its still locked.Get into the habbit otherwise you'll regret it.

Another excellent security measure (won;t work for purses sorry) is to tangle the s*** out of all power cords in the house. why you ask...

i dont think i ever posted my home invasion story, but it was scary.

we never lock our house, we have a big dog and a big fence *i know that doesnt justify not locking your house but meh* weve lived in cairns most of my life and we never locked out house there either, always had a big fence and a dog, and we lived in suburbs that can be compared with inala if not worse and never once have been broken into or robbed..


one night i was asleep with my doors wide open cause it was hot, my bedroom door is actually on the outside of teh house near the actual entrance to the house which was also open to allow the dog access from in and out of the house. someone climbed over our fence walked into the house and started walking down a hall way to my parents bedroom. the dogs bed is at teh end of this hall way and the dog caught on and fired up, at this point everyone woke up, the next thing i heard was dad yelling out "WHO THE f*** ARE YOU" i came out of my room into the hall way to see a very tall dark figure in our living room, the dog directly infront of it ready to bite the guys legs off. the guy acted drunk/on drugs or what not, said he was waiting on a lift to work, dad shunned him out the house and told him to get f***ed.

i went back to my room closed my doors thniking "s*** me he could of easily walked through my door instead of the main house door and f***ed me up" i put a curtain over my door so know one could see in and sat back on my bed, about 2 minutes later there was banging on my doors and they were shaking and my dog started up, i screamed and opened the doors a minute later but nothing was there, my parents walked around the yard and found no one or anything.

we never called the cops... probably should of but yeh, and we never had a problem since.. we still dont lock our doors and we still really dont have any fear of it, though i was abit jump for the first few days afterwards.

Inner-southside is the best. Coorparoo/Camp Hill/Holland Park/Greenslopes area rocks. Morningside/Bulimba/Hawthorn isn't too bad either.

You know one time, my mums friend and her husband had this big fight when they were drunk and s***, then she came to use cause he hit her. then he rocked up full of piss and proceeded to smash the front door, so i run to my room and grab a trolley bar (rofl) and my mum grabbed this big f***en security stick (dad is security officer). we told him to f*** off and he wouldnt so he smashed hte f***en window in and tried to climb through. SOOOO me and mum laid into him with these f***en batons and the dumb c*** had cut his wrist open from smashing the window.

Then cops rock up and hes already left, we didnt get into any trouble for laying into him with bats because it was self defence. Anyway later on cops found him down hospital getting surgery on his hands.

I say if you get caught doing any kind of break and enter type robbery you go to jail for say, 5 years, dont matter you stole. Maybe it would make the losers think before the did their next robbery, if not they would be out of the community for 5 years, and then if they get caught again, put away for 20 years.

but then you have the crazy people that take that sort of idea and twist it beyond belief.

the few states in america that have life imprisonment for possession of pot? im not a supporter in any way of the legalisation, but still, life imprisonment? you are there standing next to murderers and rapists...

anyone know if these laws have been lifted? they were like that 10 years ago or so
