Attached to the email is a files aclled 'Animales.xls1.pif' I don't know what it does, but i'm not gonna try it either.

This is Sircam? Jesus, don't people EVER use a Phucking virus scanner!?!

Pfft. Who the HELL wants to run background-resident virus scanners, aka monitors??? The only problem here is social. I believe it is referred to as social engineering. The sooner you remove the "I must open things from people I don't know" factor the better. The virus was so well publicised that you don't need a virus scanner. Besides that, as far as I know it only affects Outlook, not any other mail client. I personally use Eudora (and have done so for nearly 4 years) and I've NEVER had a problem with it. Its fast, light on resources and simple to use.

norton will protect me from those mean ol viruses. Good ol norton he keeps me safe

I never said anything about resident scanners, but scanning stuff your not sure about is the least some idiots could do. Personally, i never do anythin with stuff that arrives in the mail from peole I don't know. Even stuff from freinds and associates gets scanned before being opened.

Outlook is fine - Its just the morons who open files from people they dont know and wonder why their computers are so f***ing full of s*** and virii.

Anyone who is dumb enough to fall for sircam deserves the ill effects. Ive had it in my inbox about 6 or 7 times now.

i've had it a fair bit, i get quite a bit of email each day and FFS at its peak i got maybe 10-20 a day
