Well,I held out for as long as i could,I thought 3 EQ accounts would be enough, but last night i had dinner at a friends place and what should he show me,but WOW.I was totally impressed by the way it looked and by the end of the night,i told myself i'd have to try it.So here i am at the brink....just gotten back from EB with WOW,and im about to install it.Wish me luck,I may never return......

I haven't played WOW yet because I don't have a copy.

Also, the other night when I was in Coles I was walking past the toy section and saw a bunch of Star Wars figures. I was like WTF? Didn't realise Coles had them, so I ended up buying a Snowtrooper and it came with this big f***ing laser cannon on a tripod. Gotta love the Epmire's team and weapons.

They're night elves! Damn eq players. I suppose next you'll be referring to Warlocks as Necromancers.

ive recently gotten into wow myself, i think its a great game with a heap of great features, que times havent been a problem seeing as i pla at odd hours, lots of kids playing thanks to them darn game cards but hey atleast its got a good population...

my biggest quirk is spell bound items, i feel it ruins the economy slightly, putting the auction hosue is a good way to combat that though *ffxi for example best game economy ive seen* but im still yet to see any thrieving economy, maybe later on in the game when i get more mullah under my wings.

oh and one other tiny thing.. maps not being able to get a jist of the whole area, having to explore kidn of annoys me, i guess im just use to having areas uncovered when i start, and i guess it does drive players to explore more but sheesh i just wnat to kill s*** and pvp dont want to have to discover the areas todo it. just makes getting around a slow process.

spellbound items are done to stop people ruining economies by being loot whores, rolling on all the blue/purple drops in a group and then selling it on a the auction house.

(most blue/purple drops are spellbound on pickup)

it's an effective way to maintain an economy.

Even as lvl60 becomes more and more dull I cant stop playing. Wow has corrupted my soul.

Csirac - I saw you have an Arcanite Reaper too, how are you finding it? You were hitting me for more than what i was hitting you....

Edit - How come you never wave back csi?

that is a very good point, i guess i just get frustrated at the fact i cant sell my old magic items, at AH, but i get over it

Best way to make cash I found is to take herbalism and mining and go hunt in lvl 5-10 areas and run around collectng 'erbs and nodes and killing huminiods to get the linen. On older servers a stack of linen will sell for 20-30s sometimes more, in the AH that is.

Piece of cake really, D2 would've helped you to hone your point-click skills. :)

ISDN is more than quick enough, I play it at home on ISDN and its perfectly fine. And yeah, it comes with a free month.

The server I play on (Spinebreaker) has an irc channel set up on the irc.wowirc.com server. #spinebreaker of course.

Spinebreaker is a low/medium population PvP server with a decent number of Australians playing.

I'm a level 60 Night Elf Priest called Althor.

sorry i didnt /wave !! whats your name in game?

as for the reaper. it totally owns :D but only if you're MS spec'ed. you get much higher crits with reaper then you do with the doomsaw. easy 1400 crits on rogues and cloth users and 1000 crits on warriors. its well worth the 20 arcanite if you're spec'ed properly and have high crit (if you dont have high crit, reaper will most likly kill you than help you because of the slow attack speed). unless a rogue catches you with all his timers down and you with <50% hp. you will own him in 2 hits :)

I've got a level 21 Rogue on Spinebreaker and a level 10 Paladin on Firetree. I would've just gone Firetree but I started my char 2 days before the new servers were anounced. I'm finding it pretty slow going leveling with the rogue at the moment, it's amazing to see level 35+ Horde on Firetree already.

I ended up getting pretty bored of the game, havent played it for more than 30 mins in the past 2 weeks. I wont be renewing my subscription when it runs out.

p.s. You can't have my stuff.
