I found mine about a week ago oooh I love the soundtrack...
Apparently theres a network version of the game
If anyone has I'll pay $30 for it!

I bought it with a Sony PS some time back, and yeah - it did indeed own. I lost hours in front of the screen playing that baby. Thumbs up to Psygnosis, where-ever they are now.

I got my hands on the PC version not long ago and I'm sorry to say that I thought it sucked. The gameplay just wasn't anywhere near as smooth as the PS ver, and the controls were just plain chunky. To the game's credit, the load times were much shorter.

It was a bugger that even running Wipeout thru Bleem didn't do it justice. The game was a credit to the PS. A shame no other titles have matched the sheer velocity of this baby. (Well, with the exception of W2 & W3 :)

Wipeout got a 9.5 out of 10 in just about every review I read of it at the time, which was well earnt. I'm not one for racing games per say, but if there was a league for a revised version of this baby for the pc, I'd be one of the first in line to sign up!

I saw a mate playing wipeout 2 once and fffaaarrkk. Talk about well honed reaction times. He was whipping the thing thru corners without barely turning.

Looks like a wicked cool game once you learn how to play it well.

PC versions of PSX stuff never work out. Look at ff7 and 8. Gaybars, both of them. MGS was kinda ok in places, but still nothing on the playstation. some things should be left where they are i reckon.

maxe - I don't doubt for a minute that ff7 & 8 sucked on the pc compared to the console vers...

but fark!

sif racing and fragging against 5 or so other gamers at a lan wouldn't ownzor even joo!

I hope to gawd that a perfect port of Wipeout 3 comes to the PC with full multiplayer support for lanplay.

I never really got into any version of any game on my PSX, except FF7 (I played that at least 15 times from start to finish)

That and Soulblade

I personally prefer the pc version of wipeout tho :P

Oh did the PSX version have the SAME soundtrack as the PC one? if so ooh I'll buy it for psx too

I'm yet to play a truely great game on the psx (ff7 excluded!) FF8 was borrrrrrrrrrrrrring and ff9 aint much better (vorador buys em i just play em :P)

I didn't mind Armored Core tho!

ANYWAY enough rambling

Wipeout owns j00

I thought FF7 was quite a good conversion, 8 was pathetic though.
