A way to bypass the installer:
1. Make a directory called Quake2 and a subdirectory inside it called BaseQ2 2. Copy the pak0.pak file from the BaseQ2 directory somewhere on the CD into the BaseQ2 you made. 3. Download the Quake2 v3.20 patch (Direct Link clicky) 4. Install patch to Quake2/ directory. 5. Run game ^ This method also prevents unnecessary files from being installed, since they get replaced by the patch anyway. last edited by parabol at 14:24:08 19/Feb/05 |
