Hi I've looked on the net for 2 days now trying to solve this problem. I have directx9.0b installed which i installed when i bought need for speed undgeround. Now i just bought need for speed Undgeround 2 and it needs directx9.0c however when i try to install it, it just goes through the steps and says everything is installed, however it still says that i have direct9.0b!

I've tried uninstalling it using different programs but it just doesn't work. i tired it on my bro computer and it works because he had directx9.0a and then installed directx 9.0c however it dosnt look like you can go from directx9.0b to directx9.0c?

Has anyone had this problem becuase there are lot of people out who have by reading forums! Does anyone have any ideas.

Thanks!!

i know atomicmpc magazine put a proggy on one of their cds that stripped all dx components from your computer but i lent my atomic cds to a mate and can't recall tha name of the program. so if anyone else here gets atomic, check the cds.

Are you using the web setup that downloads the components, or the redistributable package?

DX9.0c should be in SP2.

I haven't installed any DirectX things, and I'm at 9.0c
