DAVE MATTHEWS BAND!!@! So many fkn awesome bands gonna be there this year: REM, Jack Johnson, Gomez, Joel Turner (LOL!), Jimmy Barnes (LOLx2), Cat Empire, Sonia Dada, Whitlams, Cake, Missy Higgins, and more and more and more and more.

I've never been before so I have a few Q's.

How much do the headliners of each day play for?

UPDATE:

Just realised I haven't booked a site yet OOPS. The only place that I can find that has room now is Belongil Camping which is 20 mins walk north of Byron centre with Shuttles to and from the event. $30 per person per night. I know that camping is much cheaper but that sounds reasonable for this time of year.

I have also tried Byron Bay Tourist Park, Broken Head, and First Sun Caravan which are all booked out. Anyone know another alternative to Belongil for the same price?

This is looking insane. I think my mate said he picked up a five day pass for something like $250-300. Some awesome acts on there (Gomez are brilliant, and George Clinton would be something special to watch). However, don't think I can get time off work for it, so probably can't make it down.

I would assume that alcohol would only be sold onsite - ie you couldn't bring your own. I'm sure you would be fine to have some in your camp site though.

website says 5 day pass is $315. That's what I'm looking at at the moment. Too much cool s*** going on not to go every day.

im getting sick to death of my mate down the coast going on about dmb (on and on)

especially when they care so little about the environment (heh, go find the story aobut their tour bus dumping 400 kilos of sewerage onto a boat passing by the bridge it was being dumped off)

my mate already has tickets to the dmb brissy show and for blues and roots

i wont bother
wheres the beats?

I bought tix for the Briz show too thinking it would be cheaper... how wrong I was. Anyhoo. I'm just going to Blues and Roots on the Monday to see REM, but staying at Byron for the whole weekend. Gonna be exy all up but its the first holiday I will have had in a while.

If you are just staying a night or two, camping would be your best option. You will hardly be there so there's no point in booking out some luxurious place. Plus the camp sites go off during those events - lots of fun.

If you are going and you don't have tix yet you had better hurry, they are all sold out except the single day tix for Thursday and Friday.
