Seeing there are so many nowerdays you can put down as many turds as u like as long as they were released in 2004.

Mine:

Aliens Vs Predator
teh punisher
Club Dread
Chronicles of Riddich

The WORST of 2004 imo is Van Helsing! ewww

avp.
res evil 2.

trashy, mass market cg money makers. i will never see a paul anderson movie ever EVER again. i never usually give a s*** about directors/writers/producers but i took note after res evil 2 and vowed never to watch anything by them again.

the village was a GOOD movie. the messages present are very relevant today. it was a real suprise how this movie turned out.

Hero - Sucky story, House of Flying Daggers kicks it's ass all over the place
Sky Captain - Worst acting ever.
AvP - Unlike some of the other action films named like Riddick and Res Evil this film didn't even have decent action scenes to make up for lack of plot/story.

I'd say I'd name others if I had a list in front of me.

i enjoyed the simpleness of heros plot, it fitted in a contrasting way as everything else seemed complex

van helsing wins it for me, it was honestly the crapest piece of crap i paid to see this year, whilst it was an adventure story and most adventure storys have that cornyness to them van helsing adds the extra crap of ruining 4 great sub storys by combining them all together in a way that spins the original authors to those storys in there graves.

the punisher was ok in my books, very entertaining no to disapointing and kept true to the action genre,

avp, well im an avp groupie so i shouldnt really comment, any fan will say its awesome whilst those looking for a decent action or adventure film will say its lacking the key properties for both generes. however it delivers.. you get predators and aliens and dumb ass humans all in the one movie.

my 2cents.

Van Helsing wasn't really that bad. Sure, it was cheesy at times, but what they tried to do they did pretty well. The cinematography was pretty great, the action quite enjoyable, Hugh Jackman is an absolute champ and Kate Beckinsale is a total hotty.

The ending was s*** and all, but I'd hardly qualify it for worst movie of the year.

^^ I'm the biggest Aliens/Predator fan and I thought AvP was nothing more than cell-block bitchs' gangbanged arsehole.

Troy was ok ... it was just nothing special.

Hrmmm, a lot of those action movies like Van Hellsing and The punisher and Day After Tomorrow and AVP and Chronicles of Riddick, I thought were pretty good. They're all just good, brainless action movies with cool special effects, bulls*** action scenes and badasses, how can you not enjoy that! :)

Troy wasn't great, but it was hardly worst movie of the year, it was average. Anchorman was on my list, it was pretty crap, and I even like Will Ferrel. Cat in the hat was a travesty of a movie that should never have existed though, as was Starship Troopers 2. Bourne Supremacy was one of the most disappointing for me, the horrible camera work pretty much killed the action scenes and the movie for me. I also thought Timeline was pretty crap, but thats mainly because I loved the book and they f***ed it up too much in the book to screen conversion.

I loved Bourne Supremacy. I thought the camera work was great during the action scenes. I felt like I was actually there.

Oh, and Thunderbirds, better add that. They could have done so much with that!

I thought the camera work was great during the action scenes. I felt like I was actually there.

I spose thats true, in a real fight everything is probably very confusing and you have no f***en idea whats going on, and thats exactly the feeling I had while watching bourne supremacy.

Ive only seen a few movies this year. Most mentioned in this thread I didnt see because they looked like over hyped crap.
I have seen troy (not bad), spider 2 man (not bad), bourne supremecy (good) and shrek 2 (f***ing funny goodest).
Ive seen others but they are the ones that stick out.

it has not teenage girls in it for him to have an unhealthy obsession with.

also I thought Bourne Sypremacy rockes, but i'm with khel on the cinematography. Realism is fine unless it hinders my enjoyment and gives me a farking headache.
Reverend Evil

Well the average epsisode of Reno 911 goes for like 22 minutes and I laugh my ass off thru everyone of them. Bad Santa was maybe 90 minutes and I don't remember laughing once. That's the difference between something good for me and something bad.

8-)

Most of us until you just brought it back up again. That movie was one of the s***tiest things to get released. Halle Berry's performance was pure ass.
