very good price for already overpriced speakers. You must also remember, they are only computer speakers, designed for computers. get a proper stereo

well I know nothing about sound stuff, so what does it mean when it says they are "digital" do u need a certain sort of sound card to make em work or what?

probably because they bought so many speakers, they got a huge discount. I mean almost every gateway is shipped with a set of boston accoustic speakers, they would probably have some sort of huge deal. Where as, nobody buys stuff from Myer, so they only bought a few sets of speakers and got no deal... also Myer likes to hike their prices up just so they can have 'sales' every now and again, like so the prices are *impressive* when they drop them down a bit.

A mate of mine just bought an $800 Yamaha home theatre Amp and speakers - just for his PC. The speakers have a tweater, 2 mids and 2 10" woofers. Sounds sweet.

word is that gateway are closing down (in auz) so thats why alot of their s*** is dirt cheap atm

or maybe gate way all over the world is closeing down, OR maybe some one assinated the head of gateway, or the cows claimed that they had a trade mark on the cow colors they use.

Its a shame really... i dont normally like retailers like that of PC's, because the stuff they well can be like really really dodgy, and also hard to upgrade. But i think gateway is somewhat the exception.

At least with gateway you can make your own system - all the others have set pre-configured systems don't they ??

i hate gayways propetiery programs that come with windows, a freind has a gayway, and it fully blows

my gateway is pretty rad.
in 3 years it had never broken once or anything.

i picked up a 21" mitsubishi diamond plus 200 flat-screen monitor for $875 from gateway. :D

it's got a 2" scratch on the screen so they're sending me another one.
