for the upgrade to be feesible id need enough cash from the sale of this to go out and buy a new video card, and yeah id like around $350 - $400 for a new video card

is it just me or does everyone find it quite pathetic that 12 months ago when this system was pretty much brand new it was worth about $2000 give or take (with my hdd collection case psu etc etc etc) and now it can barely scratch together a sixth of that

athlon xp2000+ never oc'd

you'd be pretty gullible to believe that, even if it was true

$300 for the lot, and only if it was all still under warranty from a good 'puter shop with original reciepts.

it's hardly a decent gaming system anymore dude

try using that 3yr cpu warranty. it isn't worth the paper it's printed on

the bit i dont get about ur post koopz was the athlon xp2000+ never overclocked comment......

but yeah anyway all components were from umart the cpu is 'under warranty' but the mobo warranty ran out a while back

i never really considered it as a gaming system, moreso a file server, it runs an ibm scsi card quite nicely but i dont have that in the system anymore, and also can have up to 8 hdd's through 4 ata ide channels, so yeah.....?

I have an Athlon XP 2000 and I've never overclocked mine either.

I don't really see the point, if I wanted one faster I'd buy a faster one.

That said I can see the point of overclocking but I'm guessing your average computer user doesn't overclock, I once overclocked my P3 733 and ever since I haven't bothered.

yeah, normally it's not worth it, but when u get a 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz, it's worth it, especially for what it does for encoding times.
