hey dudes, everytime i try to launch cs-source it gives me the error message

is anyone else getting this? it has been happening for the last 3-4 days during the middle of the day or night. i've been over to the steam website looking for clues to no avail.

they're preloading half-life 2, so its really busy - you just have to keep trying again, surprisingly!@#

Just don't log out once you are in!!

I was logged in from the other night heardy, it still wouldn't let me play CS. I suggest everyone who has steam goes outside or plays xbox for a week or so till it dies down.

that wouldn't be a surprise mate, since a new update for CS:S was rolled-out, you’re client is trying to update it and seeing as the content servers are getting trashed by the preloading from half-life 2 which you can see here. Although I've been trying to pre-load half-life 2 for while with no luck over steam, I've downloaded the cache file from a http source and copied it in steamapps dir.

but would the content servers really have anything to do with the game servers?

ok cool i re-installed steam and then it let me download source again and all is good
