I just saw teh add for this, and they said 'are we really the dominant species?'

Just got me thinking, how can we not be if they are doing tests on animals that a 3 year old could take? Animals arnt the ones testing us, or holding us captive, or putting us on tv, making technology and what not.. maybe one day, when we become a planet of teh apes (btw, one of the apes on that, the main chick i think, looks just like michael jackson with more hair..)

How can they compare an animal to a human anyway?

ah yes, but without them we would have to consider what happens to our animal meat, loyal servents or our hunting game. Are we in control of them or is it they who control us???

I think you're all confusing "evolutionary superiority" with "intelligence".

Dolphins may well be smarter that humans....a lot of animals could be. The advantage humans have is opposible thumbs. We can actually grab things properly where a dolphin would have issues.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to The Galaxy debates this very point :)
...Man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much... the wheel, New York, wars, and so on, whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely the dolphins believed themselves to be more intelligent than man for precisely the same reasons.

And see here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/hitchhikers/gallery/guide/dolphins.shtml

And as far us "holding captive" and "doing tests" on animals, like say, laboratory mice...

What better way for them to observe us and do tests of their own? The answer is 42.

Because the mice are actually doing experiments on us, as they are actually hyper-intellegent pan-dimensional beings researching the ultimate question to life the univers and everything.

so because the animal does experiments on the human, it makes them smarter, but because the human was doing the experiments on teh animal first, it makes them not so smart?

so if a human goes into the ocean, and a fish starts experimenting with them, then if the human experiments back (2nd), the human is smarter?

my semi ocd just took the better of me, i just came back from cleaning the kitchen

No, we are created by the mice, to research the ultimate question to the meaning of life, which we all know is 42. Being the stupid creatures we are, we cant possibly understand the workings of the mighty mouse beaing. All we could know is that by sitting in their cages they are actually carefully guiding us to the Question.

Lets hope our planet dosnt get destroyed for a intergalactic bypass..
