Obviously I want the humands to win, otherwise we're all boned. Failing that, I don't see Predators being beaten by no stinky aliens.

Hmm..aliens won't win. Simply because we can't relate to aliens because they're more like animals than anything else.

Preds will dominate.

But yeh, realistically something will just blow everything up except a few people.

Cinema will be the winner.

Er, I dont think a lot of you have any real understanding on the species and predicted storyline of this movie. Have you even seen the previous predator movies?

From what I gather, the pyramids in antartica in the AvP trailers are predator proving grounds, they send their young warriors there to prove themselves and defeat f***loads of aliens. This movie throws humans in the middle of it.
If you'd seen pred 2, youd know that the predators are an honourable race, they let danny glover go at the end because he defeated the other pred.

As to who will win? Well its pretty obvious that the aliens wont, because they'd infest the earth, duh.
It's anyones guess how many predators or humans will be alive at the end of the movie.

$20 says its a f***ed ending - i don't trust hollywood one little bit on this one...

R.E, Event Horizon, Mortal Combat

(apologies to the ppl who thought RE was good... I know there are a few of u out there!)

I don't get people who didn't like Event Horizon, the atmosphere was palpable. That's just what AvP needs to have.

Event Horizon was a great movie and so was Resident Evil. If you saw Event Horizon at the cinema it was f***ing awesome, dunno how good it would of been only seeing it on video.

Event Horizon in the cinema = win. I thought the CGI in Resident Evil really let it down:/

Event Horizion was one of the scariest movies of its time.

The only other movie that I have seen that has been that scary at the Cinemas was 28 Days Later.

The Character development in both movies helped to suspend mine and many others disbelief at what was on the screen.

the director has a crap track record.I found all those movies very dull and boring, and i love watching movies!!!! but ill give him the benefit of the doubt until i see the whole movie myself.

But when I look at that list of movies, it just makes me go "phwoar, cool, that guy rocks!"

I didn't actually know he did Event Horizon as well, I already thought he rocked just for doing RE and Mortal Kombat, but now I'm of the opinion that he rocks even more. Sure, his movies aren't likely to win academy awards, but they're good entertaining movies in their own right.

I've got no problems with him doing AvP, hardcore action is what AvP needs. Throw out all the meaningful touchy-feely s*** they always try and work into these movies so they can pretend they're more of a "real" movie and just bring on the action! As long as theres no giant white alien manbabies in this one, I'll be happy.

yeah i'm a bit of a fan of the mortal kombat movies, think i watched event horizan, can't remember

A) Event Horizon was awesome

B) R.E and M.K were also decent movies thought not as good.

C) Mortal Kombat 2 director should be shot.

D) Aliens don't survive cold (antartica HINT) so its not possible for them to win! PERIOD unless humans transport them, but even then it would be bitching cold.

E) The movie will be decent but I don't think its going to be a block buster, that Batman ENDGAME movie should be quite a rocking show indeed, check trailer. (dunno if that batman movie will become a reality, but who knows.)

errr, where'd you get that from? In Resurrection they get sprayed with some sort of cold s***, and while it pisses them off a bit, it freezes a dude's arm so much that it shatters.
